Socio-Scientific Issues
Your task for this internal is to put on your critical thinking hat and ask yourself, "Do I really believe what they're saying?" As a science-literate citizen we hope that the last 13 years of your science education have provided you with the tools to make a start in judging good and bad science and science reporting. Remember to think about whether tests were fair: were there enough repeats, a big enough sample size, is there a control, is their method of testing really appropriate to the real world, can anyone else verify their data, have they reported the stats in a fair way?
